Will OASIS-E Force Agencies to Address Behavioral Health Issues?

May 3 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm The Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act (the IMPACT Act) was signed into law in 2014. The implementation of this Act was delayed in Home Health until 2023 due to COVID-19. This Act requires the submission of standardized data by Long-Term Care Hospitals (LTCHs), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), Home Health Agencies (HHAs), and Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs). The New version of OASIS will now assess Cognition, Delirium, and Depressive symptoms. Clinicians must learn how to address positive results with physicians and develop care plans that address Depression, Delirium, and Dementia. This session will provide an overview of how addressing these issues can positively impact Value-Based Purchasing (VBP).
